The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby was written by F. Scott Fitzgerald in 1926. The narrator of the story is a man named Nick Carraway. He is new to West Egg, but has a cousin and connections in the more fashionable East Egg district. The story follows his observations about class, and society as a whole, as he gets to know his new neighbour Jay Gatsby and learns more about his cousin and her less-than-perfect life. The book not only explores these subjects in great depth, but it also challenges the ideas they represent.
